Dual beam timing gates

Since year 2000 I.K. Biomechanics is using only dual or multiple beam timing gates technology . The base of I.K. Biomechanics dual beams technology consists of the following general parts.

1.1989-1992 I.K. Biomechanicst timing system was used in Estonia like the general timing system of the smaller and medium sprint competitions. In the big sprint  competitions  I.K. Biomechanics timing system was working like secondary system parallel with the official finish camera system.The both systems results were compared with each other. That was very important data for Spin Test for develop his present timing gates systems. In last ten year I.K. Biomechanics  researchers also had personally measured sprint competitions split results for  all athletes in the sprint competitions in Sweden, Finland and Estonia.

2.In  1990 I.K. Biomechanics design and started production of outdoor security guarding photosensors. In the present time I.K. Biomechanics has experience of thousand of  long range outdoor photosensors expluatation during almost twenty years. Very important part of those experiences is also photosensors capability to detect only humans, not for example cats, dogs and birds.

3.During  1992...1998 probably the world biggest sports timing gates accurracy recearch have done by Jyväskyla Top Sport Recearch Centre ( KIHU). Rechearch was done in athletes trainings, tests, national competitions and also Europian and World championships.Almost all the scientific rechearch  was done with I.K. Biomechanics timing gates and  with p.1 and p.2 experiences. Those results were also comparing high speed cameras and radar guns results.

I.K. Biomechanics has used p.1... p.3 experiences for desingn his photosensors.

In year 2000 I.K. Biomechanics was  started production  of his final, double or multibeam photosensors generations.Timing gates for sports must have very specific technical possibilities. I.K. Biomechanics modern dual beam timing gates are result of long time experience in design and production of the sports,industrial and security timing gates/ photosensors.  I.K. Biomechanics dual beam timing gates have the following possibilities for sports timing

-quick measure method , no stands needed

-exact measure method, athletes’ results will be detected only from athletes torso without swinging arms measure errors

-reaction method

Basic  2F timing gates measure area with standard, low cost double reflector is 4 m or two track and field run track lines wide, enough for the about 95%  of measurements. With better reflectors,  measuring area can be 8m wide.With the active ir emitter measure area is up to 20m wide.

Especial 5F double beam reflector sensors are design for use permanently, 24 hours /day in track and field indoor halls mutch more than 100000 hours or 10years. Also 5F sensor technical possibilities can be regulated especially for  every indoor hall.
