Sports timing, competitions and trainings
Here is description of the I.K. Biomechanics profile about sports timing Team players 1.by I.K. Biomechanics profile about 50% of team players sports timing training exercises must be start by light or sound (decision) reaction system. Example 5 m start trainings, (who makes the first 2...3 steps quicker, gets the ball), timing from the athlete leg or hand first move to the timing gate. This method can be done with about more than 10 different players start positions. This training exercise problem is that without reaction system start signal, measure start from athletes hand or leg first move, athletes will try to move before with body and then to do their hand or leg first move, to start the timing later and so to get better result. This mostly happenes when athletes are very motivated and traing to compete with eatch other. 2.Ultimate biofeedback motivation effect. Thanks for this sports timing effect team players’ results will be better with every next repetitions and so 2...5 times. Even the highest level players like those trainings with biofeedback so much that they often say „don´t stop, let’s try more of those trainings“. 2.1 For the ultimate biofeedback motivation effect team players training groups must be with the optimal size, about 6...9 players. With bigger groups -players can not observe other player’s perfomance and so there is not going to be good biofeedback motivation effect -trainings /repetitions intensity is not optimal or even players can freeze. It is the most important with anaerobic speed endurance training, example 10 x 30 m with interval 1 min or 20 x 10 m with interval 20 sek. Track and field athletes trainings sports timing results’ problem is how to compare those with competition results. 2.Two general type of athletes. 1. type of athletes will show in trainings about 99 % or more of their competition results. 2. type of athletes will show in trainings less than 95% In trainings athletes are not running with 100% 100m or long jump with full speed or 100/110 m hurdle run with full interval / size hurdles. In trainings athletes will train with 97...99% intensity sprint starts in 30 m distances. Long jump’s takeoff run will be done mostly with 8 steps speed. Hurdle run training is with 3...5 hurdles, also hurdle interval is about minus 0,3 m of the normal. It means that for comparing trainings and competitions timing results, athletes and their coaches have also (very important!) to know athletes competitions split results. For example 100m sprint competitions split results from 30 m start, fly start results from 30...60m, 60...80m; 80m...100m .Or hurdle run competitions results of after 2. hurdle, 2...5 hurdle, 5...8 hurdle, 8...10 hurdle. Or long jump, triple jump or pole vault 5m+5m speed
I.K. Biomechanics sports timing equipment has been especially designed for measure athletes performance split results also in competitions. 1.Timing gates -dual beam timing gates and software for swinging arms error free technology -outdoor (sunshine, rain) up to 20 m, exellent for sprint competitions sports timing 2.Automatically working biofeedback display system . Here is sports timing example of competition split results, done in Kuopio in Finland champioships and basicly only by one person. Long jump and pole vault sports timing systems are working automatically and biofeedback display shows speeds (m/s) in 25...35 m range. Sprint timing have done by one person (but with parallel video taping). In years 1998-2009 I.K. Biomechanics rechearches personally have done those measurements every year about in about 2...4 competitions. For sprint and hurdle run I.K. Biomechanics have very important sports timing training methods between single athlete trainings and competition results- multiple runner start trainings look also www.spintest.ee training method 8 and 12. Here sprinters can train their starts, but their training conditions motivation and also results level is like in the competitions. |
